Lucy Bowen McCauley (choreographer)

Lucy Bowen McCauley is the Artistic Director, choreographer, and creative energy behind Bowen McCauley Dance Co (BMDC). Since founding the Company in 1996, she has created over 100 works ranging from lyrical ballets to highly physical contemporary pieces set to rock music. Her choreography explores the interplay between music, dance, and drama. In addition, her collaborations with other world-class artists and musicians have been instrumental to her creative process. BMDC celebrated its 25th and final performance at the Kennedy Center’s Eisenhower Theatre Sept 14th, 2021. Teaching Dance for PD since 2008, Lucy is a certified teacher in the Mark Morris Dance Group’s researched-backed Dance for PD Program. She offers many classes in the Metro DC area and also trains new teachers with David Leventhal, the Founder of Dance for PD, to help meet the needs of the ever-growing PD population.
