Evelyn Song (violin)

Evelyn Song started playing the violin at age 7 and is a student of Lya Stern. Evelyn is the first-prize winner of many violin competitions, including the Washington Performing Arts String Competition, Jack Weaver Memorial String Competition, the Rockville Competition, the Maryland Sate Music Teachers Association Solo Festival and Unaccompanied Bach Competition. Evelyn has made numerous solo appearances as a violinist at the Kennedy Center Millennium Stage, the Harman Center, the National Gallery and the National Building Museum and has been concertmaster for Maryland Classic Youth Orchestras (MCYO) each year since 2010. Evelyn is in her third season as the first violinist of the award-winning MCYO String Quartet.
