Patrick D. McCoy (tenor)
Patrick D. McCoy is a graduate of Virginia State University where he earned the Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance and the Master of Music in Church Music from Shenandoah Conservatory. He is a Washington Life Magazine columnist and reviewer of concerts performed by The Washington Chorus, The Washington Bach Consort, Vocal Arts D.C. and The Cathedral Choral Society among others. He is an Associate Member of the National Association of Black Journalists, the Washington, D.C. Chapter of the Recording Academy and Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. In addition to writing, he has interviewed leading musicians, including Joshua Bell, Rene Fleming, Julian Wachner, Denyce Graves, Samuel Ramey, Elizabeth Futral, Carmen Balthrop, Lawrence Brownlee, Christine Brewer and Marietta Simpson.
