NATIONAL CHAMBER ENSEMBLE

“Annual Holiday Concert”

     It seems it was just a few years ago  when I first reviewed Arlington’s National Chamber Ensemble. I liked them then—and I love them now. Last weekend the NCE performed its Annual Holiday Concert and it was outstanding! Led by Leo Sushansky, artistic director and violinist extraordinaire, the program included guest artists, 15 year old violinist Evelyn Song and her 12 year old sister, pianist, Annabelle Song, plus pianist Natasha Dukan who accompanied the Ensemble beautifully.  Ensemble members are Uri Wassertzug (viola), Vasily Popov (cello), Jorge Orozco (violin) and Andrew Pal (guitar). Tenor Patrick McCoy led a carols sing-a-long. Artistic director Sushansky introduced a large group of young violinists who brought the house down. The entire program was exciting. The next NCE show will be its  Valentine’s Day Concert, Saturday, Feb. 14, 7:30 p.m. at the Spectrum. For more information, check the website at NationalChamberEnsemble.org.
