Joshua Lebar (bass)

Joshua Lebar received a Bachelor's degree in music performance from the University of Maryland, College Park studying with Curtis Burris of the National Symphony Orchestra. He then went on to complete a Master's degree in music performance at Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, PA studying with Micah Howard of the Pittsburgh Symphony. While in Pittsburgh, Mr. Lebar freelanced with many groups including the Canton, Akron, Westmoreland, Altoona, McKeesport, and Washington Symphonies. After his studies in Pittsburgh, Mr. Lebar pursued a Performer's Diploma at Indiana University's Jacobs School of Music under the tutelage of Lawrence Hurst and performed with the Terre Haute, Evansville, and Owensboro Symphonies. Currently Mr. Lebar lives in Baltimore, MD performs with such groups as the Baltimore Chamber Orchestra, Concert Artists of Baltimore, Annapolis Symphony, and Allentown Symphony. In addition to his busy playing schedule, Mr. Lebar also teaches cello and double bass at the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra's Orchkids program.
