Junliang Li (piano)
NCE Outstanding Young Artist Achievement Award recipient 15 year old piannist Junliang Li was born in August 2002, in China. He began studying piano at the age of 8. After one year, he was awarded second prize at the Liszt Hong Kong-International Piano Open Competition. In May 2013, Li gave his first performance at Shanghai Culture Square Music Hall, playing the first movement of the Yellow River piano concerto. From 2014, he studied for two years at Wuhan Conservatory of Music. At age 13, Li entered the International Keyboard Institute & Festival as the festival’s youngest student. Currently Li moved to the United States to attend the Levine School of Music, where he studies under Irena Orlov.
