Yixuan
Li (violin)
NCE Outstanding Young Artist Competition First Prize Winner Yixuan Li is a 13 years old from Rockville, Maryland. He is an eighth grader at Takoma Park Middle School. Yixuan started to play violin at age of 6 and has been studying under Lya Stern since 2017. He has placed first in several string competitions including the Joseph and Goldie Feder Memorial String Competition, Rockville Competition for Pianos and Strings, and the YMIC Metropolitan Music Festival. With his piano trio, they won first place at the Misbin Family Memorial Chamber Music Competition in the Junior Division. He was also the Concertmaster of the Maryland Classic Youth Orchestra. In his spare time, Yixuan likes to read and play tennis.
